Speaking about state policy measures aimed at keeping prices for medicines under control, Ms Golikova said that the Government will have a draft law on the medicines market ready by autumn.
The President said that administrative regulation of the medicines market is essential in a number of cases and stressed that the Government should ensure light but effective regulation of prices for medicines, not allowing excessive retail mark-ups, while at the same time ensuring that pharmacies remain profitable.
Another subject on the agenda at the meeting was the implementation of regional employment programmes that have helped to bring down the number of registered unemployed over the summer period, as shown by the results of weekly monitoring.
Ms Golikova said that by the start of July, as compared to May, the number of registered unemployed decreased by 0.2 to 2.8 percent. The labour market was also showing signs of picking up. Overall unemployment has fallen 1 percent since February and now comes to 8.5 percent.
