Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 10th award ceremony of the Russian Paralympic Committee’s Return to Life Prize.
The message of greetings reads, in part:
“This lofty prize is of special moral value. It is awarded to courageous, strong-willed and talented athletes, their coaches and mentors. To those who overcame their difficulties and achieved their goals, representing Russia with dignity at major international competitions, those who made a significant contribution to the development of the national and global Paralympic movement.
With their dedicated work, victories and triumphs they made this country famous, gave hope to many people and provided convincing proof that willpower, faith and determination can overcome any obstacles and the most complicated situations.”
