Mr Serdyukov informed the President that the cargo ship Arctic Sea, crewed by Russian citizens, and with which there has been no contact since July 28, has been discovered not far from Cape Verde. The crew members are alive and are now on board a Russian naval vessel and answering questions on what happened.
The President gave instructions to investigate the incident in accordance with the law and report on the findings.
