The President of Turkmenistan expressed his sincere condolences and feelings of fraternal solidarity to the President of Russia and all Russian people in connection with the recent tragic events and resulting casualties. Mr Medvedev thanked Mr Berdimuhamedov for his sympathy and support.
During their conversation the presidents discussed various issues of bilateral interaction. Both sides noted with satisfaction that coordinated and efficient work is underway in all fields of Russia-Turkmenistan cooperation. The parties expressed their readiness to continue to resolve all outstanding issues in an atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding.
Mr Medvedev and Mr Berdimuhamedov spoke out in favour of maintaining the high level of momentum in bilateral contacts at various levels and discussed specific plans for summit meetings in the near future.
The conversation was initiated by President Berdimuhamedov.
