Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to participants in the 2016 Black Sea Tall Ships Regatta.
The message reads, in part:
“We can say with confidence today that this impressive and in many ways unique project has been a success, and with every passing year it brings together more and more energetic and enthusiastic young people with a love for sailing from different countries and also captains and officers of tall ships. What is important is that the young participants are part of the tall ships’ crews alongside the professionals and this is an excellent opportunity for them to gain skills and experience, discover their potential and cultivate such values as courage, endurance and solidarity.
I am certain that this regatta will be a success, attract the interest of specialists and all who love sailing, and contribute to strengthening international humanitarian contacts”.
The 2016 Black Sea Tall Ships Regatta takes place on September 4-October 8, 2016.
