Vladimir Putin will visit the Republic of Peru on November 19–20 to take part in the 24th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.
The summit’s agenda examines the global economic situation, integration processes in the Asia-Pacific region, and developing a free trade zone in the region. Other issues on the agenda include food security, assisting small and medium businesses, and expanding cooperation in the education sector. The summit’s programme includes meetings with the APEC Business Advisory Council and heads of the International Monetary Fund.
The summit is to adopt a declaration reflecting the APEC economies’ coordinated approaches to developing multilateral cooperation in the region.
Bilateral contacts are also planned between Vladimir Putin and heads of state and government taking part in the summit.
