Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to participants in the 14th session of the Council of Heads of the CIS Security and Intelligence Agencies.
The message reads, in part:
“Twenty-five years ago, the CIS members signed a treaty on general principles of cooperation between intelligence and security agencies. Since then, our partnership has grown into a stable and productive project, which has proved its importance and relevance.
For an efficient fight against international terrorism and extremism, other tasks connected to peace and security, we need close coordination of security services. Strong and well-managed cooperation, prompt exchange of intelligence and analytics will allow us to successfully tackle modern challenges in the Commonwealth states.”
