Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office and Chairman of the Presidium of the Anti-Corruption Council Sergei Naryshkin presented to the President the draft national anti-corruption programme.
Mr Medvedev instructed the Anti-Corruption Council in May 2008 to draw up a national anti-corruption programme.
The draft programme provides for legal support for the fight against corruption, in particular a federal anti-corruption law that is to be drafted by October 1, measures to improve state management in the aim of preventing corruption, and measures to improve legal training and carry out legal awareness education.
Mr Medvedev said that the document would be finalised after he studies the draft and then holds a meeting of the Anti-Corruption Council.
