Mr Medvedev and Mr Rudd exchanged views on the agenda of the upcoming G20 summit in Pittsburgh. Noting the positive part this multilateral cooperation forum is playing, the two leaders affirmed their mutual desire to continue coordinating efforts to increase the G20’s potential as an effective mechanism for cooperating on overcoming the global financial and economic crisis.
Plans for future Russian-Australian top level contacts were also discussed.
The conversation was Australia’s initiative.
