Vladimir Putin congratulated Rostov Region residents on the 80th anniversary of the region’s establishment.
The message reads, in part:
“Your fertile and hospitable region is home to talented, energetic and enterprising people who, over the centuries, have founded towns and settlements, actively cultivated the region’s generous soil, developed industrial, transport and energy infrastructure, and defended our country’s southern frontiers.
Rostov Region today is one of the country’s most economically promising regions, home to big industrial enterprises and influential scientific, educational and cultural centres. Of course, I make special mention of the labour of the region’s farmers, who have taken in a record grain harvest this year.”
