Mr Medvedev said the Russian footballers have given the whole country some joyful moments and a chance to see the kind of inspiring football people had been waiting for from the Russian team for so long.
The President said he hoped that the team’s good performance at the European Championship is the only the start of its success and that it has memorable new victories ahead.
Mr Medvedev said he wants to meet with the team members and the trainers.
