Dmitry Medvedev signed an executive order including the Kulikovo Pole Museum and Nature Reserve on the register of especially valuable cultural heritage sites of the peoples of Russia

The museum and nature reserve are located 300 km southeast of Moscow on the site of the Battle of Kulikovo, which took place in 1380. One of the most important events in Russian history, the Battle of Kulikovo marked the start of Russia’s liberation from the yoke of the Mongol-Tatar Golden Horde.
