Dmitry Medvedev and Tarja Halonen discussed topical issues affecting Russian-Finnish cooperation in both bilateral and international spheres. In particular, they shared their assessments concerning their participation in the UN General Assembly session and the outcomes of the G20 summit in Pittsburgh. Mr Medvedev and Ms Halonen continued by exchanging views on the development of cooperation to protect the environment of the Baltic Sea region and to improve the region's ecological situation.
