Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants and guests of the 20th April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development held by the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
The message reads, in part:
“Over the past years your conference has become firmly established in the calendar of meaningful academic and public events, uniting well-known scholars and representatives of government agencies, the expert and business communities on the basis of its important goals and tasks. The forum is justly famous for its rich agenda, respected participants and high level of discussion. It provides an opportunity to discuss a wide range of pressing issues concerning the development of Russian regions and the economy as well as the improvement of state governance and municipal services, and to work out new approaches to the solution of current problems.
I am sure that the conference will be held in a creative and constructive spirit and will help strengthen international cooperation in education and science. Its results will be conducive to efficient expert support for government projects and programmes.”
