Vladimir Putin sent greetings to representatives of the volunteer corps who qualified for the finals of the international contest Victory Ambassadors.
The message reads, in part:
“Importantly, the forum enhances its prestige, uniting through noble goals and tasks pro-active, caring people from many parts of the country and foreign states, those who sincerely love their homeland, take pride in the combat glory of their fathers and grandfathers and strive to make a personal contribution to preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War.
In this context, I would like to note with deep satisfaction the large-scale creative work of the Victory Volunteers national public movement – one of the organisers and promoters of the current contest. Volunteers of very different ages and trades take an active part in restoring monuments to lost heroes, improving military burial places and implementing major educational, patriotic projects, including the Immortal Regiment grass roots movement.
I am certain that with such a positive attitude and a fervent desire to be useful to your homeland, to people, you will certainly reach your goals. I wish you success and good luck. Congratulations on the great holiday – Victory Day.”
