After the United Russia party congress, President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited the palace of Grand Duke Alexei Alexandrovich, now known as the House of Music.

Music was performed for the President and Prime Minister in the ceremonial hall of the palace.

Before the congress of United Russia, Dmitry Medvedev visited the Suvorov State Memorial Museum. The President presented the museum with the sword given him during his visit to Switzerland, where the President took part in celebrations to mark the 210th anniversary of the Alpine campaign of Alexander Suvorov.

In addition, Dmitry Medvedev gave as a gift to the museum a reprint of the 1799 edition of the book called Suvorov, and an atlas called The Swiss Campaign of Russia’s Imperial Troops, under the Command of Generalissimo Count Suvorov.
