The President’s telegram reads, in part:

“I was saddened to learn of the passenger ferry disaster that has claimed human lives.

I express my sincere sympathy over this tragedy and ask you to pass on my profound condolences to the victims’ families and my wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured.”
