The bill has been prepared to implement the provisions of the Presidential Address to the Federal Assembly (Parliament) delivered on November 12, 2009. The bill introduces an institute of socially-oriented non-profit organisations and will support non-profit organisations engaged in socially useful activities.
The bill proposes to amend the Federal Law On Non-Profit Organisations in particular to encourage government authorities and local government to support socially-oriented non-profit organisations.
In addition, the changes define the activities of socially-oriented non-profit organisations and regulations concerning their work.
In connection with the proposed changes to the Federal Law On Non-Profit Organisations, the appropriate changes have been made to other federal laws.
