Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the celebrations held to mark the 15th anniversary of the Forum of Slavic Cultures.
The message reads, in part:
“In the course of 15 years of its existence, the forum has fully proved its relevance, providing a good opportunity for contacts between the general public of Slavic countries, and playing a vital role in preserving the unique cultural and spiritual legacy of the Slavic world.
Thanks to the cooperation carried out within the forum’s framework, large-scale joint projects are being successfully implemented in the areas of education and enlightenment, museum and library affairs, tourism, music, book publishing and cinematography.
I would like to emphasise that the Russian side intends to continue actively participating in the forum’s various events on the understanding that this will promote the development of humanitarian cooperation and enhance mutual understanding and trust between peoples.”
