Vladimir Putin extended his greetings to President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on his 65th birthday.
The message reads in part:
“You have been heading Belarus for 25 years, working tirelessly to enhance the country’s international prestige and accomplish the socioeconomic tasks facing it.
You constantly make a major personal contribution to expanding friendly, allied relations between our countries. I am confident that the implementation of agreements that were recently reached in St Petersburg will help further strengthen the Union State and expand productive Russian-Belarussian cooperation, both bilateral and under Eurasian integration processes.
I would like to reaffirm our readiness to continue our dialogue, as well as constructive joint work for the benefit of the fraternal Russian and Belarusian nations.”
