Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Crown Prince and Defence Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud on the initiative of the Saudi side.
The discussion focused on the situation following the attack on oil refineries in Saudi Arabia. The President of Russia expressed concern in this regard and called for a thorough and objective investigation of the incident.
The sides reviewed the situation on the global hydrocarbons market, including the implementation of agreements in the OPEC+ format. They voiced their mutual determination to continue close coordination with the aim of stabilising global oil prices.
The sides also touched upon preparations for the Russian leader’s planned visit to Saudi Arabia.
