Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to the participants of the Family of the Year national contest and congratulated the finalists on their victory.
The message reads, in part:
“I am glad that your contest enjoys popular support and involves more families from different Russian regions every year. They promote high spiritual and moral values with their life views and unswerving commitment to the traditions of responsible parenting, which serves as a great example for young people.
From the dawn of time, a child’s personality and character, human and civil qualities were formed at home, in the family, in an atmosphere of love and care.
I would like to emphasise that the support of family, motherhood and childhood is an important national task that requires joint efforts of officials at all the levels of government as well as civil institutions and the media. Your excellent project fully focuses on this important and necessary matter.”
