Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the 3rd International Academic Conference titled Theology in Research and Education: Religion, Culture and Enlightenment, being held at the National Research Nuclear University (MEPhI).
The message reads, in part:
“Already a tradition, your forum is dedicated to discussing topical problems of theology specific to our country as well as promoting the role of theology in the humanities, in preserving the timeless spiritual and moral values of the peoples of Russia and our rich cultural heritage, and in educating the younger generations. Of course, the key issues on the agenda of the conference are reinforcing the methodological foundation of this important academic discipline and creating a contemporary and high-quality system of theological education.
I am certain that the forum will be a success and contribute to consolidating religious and public associations, as well as academic and pedagogical communities around its goals and objectives.”
