Vladimir Putin sent greetings to President of the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) Ingmar De Vos and participants of the FEI General Assembly, which opened in Moscow.
The message reads, in part:
”Over many years, your representative organisation, which unites over 130 national federations, has made a major contribution to promoting equestrian sport and creating equal opportunities for holding training sessions and competitions.
I should note that this is the first time Russia is hosting the FEI General Assembly. I see this as recognition of the Russian Equestrian Federation by the global sports community and its substantial role in introducing people of different ages to the values of the healthy and active lifestyle and promoting their comprehensive intellectual and physical development.
I am confident that the assembly will take place in a productive atmosphere, make for boosting constructive international cooperation in high-performance sports and popular physical activities, and, of course, serve for further strengthening the FEI's cooperation with the Russian Equestrian Federation.“
