Dmitry Medvedev had a meeting to discuss the investigation of the Nevsky Express accident with Chairman of the Prosecutor General's Office Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov and Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov

The President listened to reports on the progress of investigation, on its results to date, as well as on the work of the relevant governmental commission.
Mr Medvedev said that he had signed a special order in connection with this terrorist act. The President emphasised that the instruction touches on different areas, including social and economic issues and issues related to rail safety and more general security concerns. The instruction contains strict deadlines for its implementation.
The meeting took place at Vnukovo-2 Airport before Dmitry Medvedev left for Rome.
