Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to Honorary President of the Russian Olympic Committee Vitaly Smirnov on his 85th birthday.
The message reads, in part:
“You are doing so much for the development of Russian and international sports and the Olympic movement, for the promotion of the values of physical fitness and a healthy and active lifestyle.
And, of course, I would like to mention your talent as an organiser and the continuous attention that you pay to important and highly demanding public activities.”
