Vladimir Putin extended his birthday greetings to Merited Coach of Russia Tatyana Pokrovskaya, head coach of the Russian national synchronised swimming team.
The message reads, in part:
“You are rightfully considered a true legend of Russian high performance sports, an outstanding coach and mentor. Over the years of your creative, selfless work, you have raised a constellation of Olympic champions, winners of other international synchronised swimming competitions, and enriched the wonderful traditions of this beautiful, spectacular sport.”
Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation Tatyana Pokrovskaya has been head coach of the Russian national synchronised swimming team since 1998. Under her leadership, Russian swimmers won all gold medals at all the Olympic Games from 2000 to 2012.
