The decree’s provisions allow foreign citizens and stateless persons coming to Russia for the UEFA Champions League soccer final on May 21, 2008, visa-free entry and exit to and from Russia from May 17 to May 25, 2008, on the basis of identity documents recognised by Russia as such, and a ticket for the soccer match in question.
Earlier, Mr Medvedev signed a federal law making it possible to set specific provisions by presidential decree for the arrival and departure of foreign citizens and stateless persons to and from Russia.
