The amendments expand the number of scientific organisations to which the Russian Government can accord the status of state scientific centres.
In accordance with the federal law, this status can be accorded to scientific organisations that possess unique experimental equipment, and have highly qualified staff and specialists whose scientific work has earned international recognition.
