April 28, 2021, St Petersburg

During his working trip to St Petersburg, Vladimir Putin visited ambulance station No. 4 in Pushkin.

The President congratulated the ambulance station workers on their professional day, Paramedic day, which was established a year ago on the initiative of the President. Vladimir Putin also inspected the facility’s equipment and was given a tour around the control room, the PPE storage point, the training area and also the assembly room.

The ambulance station in Pushkin was founded in 1955, and its new building opened in 2019. Today it has 19 ambulance teams.

The facility also trains medical students: trainee doctors acquire their practical skills using dummy simulators and attend lectures on tactical medicine and methods for various emergency situations as well as training and exercises with simulation of emergencies; a mentoring system was also introduced.

The ambulance station’s fleet is renovated annually.
