Vladimir Putin congratulated the workers and veterans of the Great Moscow State Circus on Prospekt Vernadskogo, one of the largest circuses in Europe, on its 50th anniversary.
The message reads, in part:
“The Great Moscow Circus is rightfully famous for its unique architectural solutions, and, of course, for its unmatched atmosphere of kindliness and hospitality. It is a true centre of attraction for audiences of all ages and generations. A handpicked team of top professionals work there, and many of them represent the renowned circus dynasties.
You have carefully preserved the wonderful traditions of the Russian circus school and realise various and always fascinating projects. It is symbolic that you are celebrating your anniversary by holding the 9th Idol International Festival in your home arena. I am quite sure that it will become a spectacular event for the lovers of circus art.”
