Mr Medvedev and Mr Rudd exchanged best wishes on the upcoming New Year and passed on their best wishes to each other’s peoples.
The two leaders discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in various areas and coordination of their work in international organisations. They also exchanged views on the results of the recent UN conference on climate change in Copenhagen and confirmed their readiness to continue working together in this area.
Planned bilateral contacts at various levels in 2010 were also discussed.
