Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants of the World Congress of the Peoples of the Chechen Republic.
The message reads, in part:
“To discuss the large-scale pressing issues facing Chechnya today, your forum has gathered in Grozny many participants – prominent statesmen and public figures, delegates from all cities and regions of your republic, as well as representatives of the Chechen diasporas living in other areas of the country or abroad.
I would like to note that in the past few years, conditions have been created for Chechnya’s sustainable development, for the implementation of its sizeable economic potential, improvements in the social sphere and the strengthening of interethnic peace and accord. Today, it is important to not stop at these achievements and to work hard for the benefit of the republic and all of Russia. I am sure that you will achieve success, relying on the ideas and principles of your Constitution and the rich ideological and patriotic legacy of your first president – Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov.”
