“Georgy Garanyan was a recognised maestro of Russian jazz and one of the brightest musicians of the modern era. He received wide acclaim as a talented performer, a master of improvisation, and a gifted composer and harmonist.
The memory of this wonderful person will forever remain in the hearts of his fans and in the achievements of his many students.”
The jazz musician passed away at the age of 75 following a heart attack while on tour in Krasnodar.
