Vladimir Putin congratulated Georgy Zhomin, Andrei Tyrin, Alexander Trofimov and Timofei Charkin of the Russian national team on their victory at the 53rd International Chemistry Olympiad.
The message reads, in part:
“I understand that this spectacular success was not easy and each of you had to work very hard. While contesting against strong and well-prepared rivals from various countries, you showed deep knowledge of the subject, the ability to think out of the box and the will to win. You have confirmed that our education is rightfully respected and valued, and the Russian chemistry school takes the leading positions. Good job.
I would, of course, also like to thank your teachers and mentors. Their pedagogical talent and hard work are indisputable factors in your success at the International Olympiad.”
