The message reads, in part:

“Launched in 2011, your tournament has firmly asserted itself in the international sports calendar and has acquired its own traditions that help to popularise this spectacular and dynamic sport. It brings together the world’s strongest pentathlon athletes, and their brilliant performances and an uncompromising struggle for victory always attract public interest and, of course, inspire the spectators and people from various age groups to lead a healthy lifestyle and to become accustomed to the values of physical fitness.

I would like to point out that, from this year, the tournament has received the high status of competitions for the Cup of the President of the Russian Federation. I am expecting them to be held at a high organisational level, and I hope that the athletes will display professionalism and willpower and will justify the hopes of both fans and coaches.”
