At Mr Medvedev’s instruction, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Vladislav Surkov sent the relevant notice to the Board of the Supreme Council of the United Russia political party.

President Medvedev will submit to the Legislative Assembly of Krasnoyarsk Territory the candidacy for the post of governor chosen by him from among the persons nominated by the Board of the Supreme Council of the United Russia political party.

Candidates for the governor’s office are acting Governor of Krasnoyarsk Territory Edkham Akbulatov, General Director of Kalmar Company Lev Kuznetsov, and Deputy Minister of Finance Alexander Novak.
