Dmitry Medvedev met with Turkish President Abdullah Gul

The leaders of the two countries discussed their bilateral relations, including trade and economic relations, as well as the possibility of increasing trade and cooperating in implementing major infrastructure projects.

Dmitry Medvedev noted the dynamic nature of Russian-Turkish relations.

The meeting touched upon the growing number of Russian tourists that holiday in Turkey. It was stressed that this requires a responsible approach by the relevant Turkish organisations.

Abdullah Gul noted the great desire of Turkish construction companies to participate in major infrastructure projects in Russia. The Turkish party expressed its interest in involving Turkish construction companies in the implementation of tasks related to the Sochi Olympics.

At the meeting the participants also discussed the situation in the Caucasus region and cooperation in the Black Sea.

Dmitry Medvedev and Abdullah Gul agreed to exchange visits.
