Ms Golikova briefed the President on implementation of his instructions on provision of needed medicines for the public, and on the labour market situation.

Mr Medvedev said that, despite renewed economic growth, unemployment remains a serious problem, and instructed the minister and the Government to work with the regions, motivate regional and municipal authorities to get involved in job market issues on a daily basis, and carry out federal and regional programmes in this area.
