Vladimir Putin congratulated the command and service personnel of the 24th Guards Separate Special-Purpose Brigade on receiving the honorary title of Guards.
The message reads, in part:
“This is a great honour and recognition of your special merits, mass heroism and valour shown while you defended the Fatherland and protected Russia’s sovereignty and national interests.
The astute and resolute actions of the brigade’s service personnel during the special military operation in Ukraine are an example of fulfilling military duty, as well as of bravery, selflessness and professionalism.
I believe that you, soldiers and officers – guardsmen, will continue to remain loyal to your oath, honourably serve your Motherland, and reliably ensure the security of our citizens and their peaceful life.”
