Vladimir Putin congratulated the people of the Rostov Region on its 85th anniversary.
The message reads, in part:
”You are rightly proud of your illustrious countrymen: outstanding military leaders and writers, musicians and artists, performers and athletes, as well as of the enormous contribution that your generous and fertile land makes to the development of the national economy, agriculture, science and culture.
It is important that you rely on the strong labour traditions established by previous generations as you strive to effectively address the challenges faced by the region. Today the region is implementing large-scale initiatives in manufacturing industry, social spheres and agriculture; the pace of housing construction is increasing and the accessibility of high-tech medical care is improving. And, of course, a special word of appreciation goes to Don grain farmers, who will again deliver a record harvest of grain in 2022.
I am confident that you will continue to achieve success for the benefit of the Rostov Region and Russia as a whole.“
