Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the International Multi-Sport Competitions, Summer Paralympic Games, We Are Together: Sport.
The message reads, in part:
“I consider the efforts to hold these unique and inspiring Games as a significant and relevant initiative that makes an immense and constructive contribution to the development of the Paralympic sport as well as to the promotion of its unwavering ideals and values. The current competitions will bring together the best athletes from Russia and a number of foreign countries at Sochi venues to offer them an excellent opportunity to showcase their talents, skills, strength and fighting spirit. And of course, the participants of the Games will fully enjoy the support from sports fans.”
