Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants and guests of the final stage of the International Financial Security Olympiad.
The message reads in part:
“It is gratifying that your substantive and timely initiative has received widespread support from national and international specialist organisations, and that today Sochi once again welcomes school and university students from different Russian regions and a number of foreign countries, offering them an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and competencies in the field of financial, legal and information literacy. I know that you have worked hard and persistently, withstood serious competition in the qualifying rounds, and are ready to compete with strong, worthy competitors here at Sirius.
Our country gives priority to enhancing the financial security of individuals and society, protecting the legal rights of citizens and improving the financial literacy, especially among young people. And to this end your project is called upon to fulfil an important educational mission.
I am sure that the Olympiad will be held at a high organisational and creative level, will become a significant event for the participants, and will produce real results.”
