Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to the family and friends of Vyacheslav Nazaruk, a Soviet and Russian animated film artist, winner of the USSR State Award, in connection with his passing.
The message reads, in part:
“Vyacheslav Nazaruk was a gifted artist, a person with sincere and boundless love for his craft. Throughout the years of his creative and inspired work, he created a rich collection of artistic paintings and graphic art, treating viewers young and old to his wonderful, cartoon films which became true masterpieces of animated art.”
Vyacheslav Nazaruk died in Moscow at the age of 81.
