Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 6th ASSK.Fest nationwide festival of student sports, which is taking place in Saransk, the capital of the Republic of Mordovia.
The message reads, in part:
”Your festival is a vibrant, highly anticipated event held under the auspices of the Association of Student Sports Clubs of Russia (ASSK), which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. It always brings together creative and talented young people from many regions of the country, inspires participants with its rich, intensive programme and special positive atmosphere to strive for fair and engaging competitions and new achievements in various sports disciplines.
It is gratifying that the Association pays great attention to the development of inclusive sport and the social adaptation of people with disabilities, giving them the opportunity to fully develop their talents and abilities. And, of course, its contribution to strengthening the remarkable traditions of grassroots sports among young people and promoting the upbringing of the youth in the spirit of patriotism and citizenship is important.”
