The meeting will take place in Volgograd and the subject on the agenda will be preparations for celebrating the 65th anniversary of victory in the 1941–1945 Great Patriotic War.

The Pobeda (Victory) Steering Committee was established by Presidential Executive Order in 2000 to carry out work aimed at strengthening patriotism, raising Russia’s international prestige, and addressing the problems of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, veterans of military operations on the territory of the Soviet Union and other countries, and civil service veterans.
