Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, guests and organisers of the 11th charity basketball match.
The message reads, in part:
“I am pleased to note that this wonderful initiative implemented by the A Step Together charity foundation traditionally enjoys widespread public support and rallies energetic, compassionate people sensitive to other people’s problems around its goals. Well-known athletes, representatives of government agencies and businesses, media and cultural organisations, according to a good tradition, are taking part in the current match held under the slogan of Going Vertical. Of course, the main guests of the event are boys and girls from many regions of the country, including Donbass, the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
I am confident that interesting meetings, ample sports, cultural and educational programmes and enjoyable motorboat trips will leave them with vivid and unforgettable impressions.”
