Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the finalists and congratulations to the winners and prize-winners of the Bolshaya Peremena nationwide contest for students of secondary vocational education organisations, the final of which took place in Nizhny Novgorod on November 19–22.
The message reads, in part:
“This year, almost a million new participants from different regions of our country joined the contest, which shows its growing popularity. You all demonstrated extraordinary dedication and perseverance, coped with difficult tasks and achieved good results in the final. Many of you have already decided on your future job, so you can put the experience gained here into practice, because Bolshaya Peremena means new knowledge and skills, and the ability to work in a team and jointly solve tasks.
It is gratifying that this year’s competitions were united by a common theme – “I am Proud of Russia,” and during the season you learned about the outstanding achievements of our ancestors, their scientific and geographical discoveries that changed the world. In this regard, I would like to sincerely thank your teachers, instructors and mentors – everyone who helps you not only to study our history, but also to move forward and achieve your goals.
Let me emphasise that the state will continue to pay great attention to the creation of modern jobs, the training of young, qualified specialists, and the introduction of advanced educational standards for colleges and technical schools. I see this as the key to the successful development of the domestic economy and increasing its competitiveness.
I wish you all the best and the realization of all your plans.”
