Vladimir Putin visited Breakthrough-Sirius, a robotics training and experimental centre at Sirius University of Science and Technology. Director of the Talent and Success Educational Foundation Yelena Shmeleva served as the President’s guide during the tour.
The Centre’s main goals are to develop and test unmanned production facilities using Russian-made robotic systems, as well as to train personnel in the development and use of these technologies. The Centre’s experts will work on various tasks for the Rosatom State Corporation, including under the Proryv (Breakthrough) project for developing new-generation nuclear power technologies. They will also provide support to leading sectors of the Russian economy.
As an example, the President was shown a robotic fuel production line that was built at the experimental training centre. This production line primarily consists of multirole and transport robots. All of the equipment has been designed for unmanned production, with interchangeable modules that can be serviced by machines.
