Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 17th Winter International Art Festival in Sochi.
The message reads, in part:
Your traditional creative festival is popular with Sochi residents and visitors. They appreciate it for its varied and interesting programme and the special inspiring atmosphere at concert venues. And of course, the city always welcomes many participants – talented artists, musicians and performers. I am pleased to note that the festival’s impressive and enduring success is largely due to its organiser and permanent project manager Maestro Yuri Bashmet.
I know that this festival will be held at a high level and will enrich the cultural and spiritual life of Sochi and all of Russia.
